We rent out our Holter monitors here so you can do your 24hr Heart Holter test on your dog.
A Holter is a ambulatory electrocardiogram similar to an EKG. The holter monitor is worn for 24 hours. The monitor will reveal any ectopy like PVCs (pre-ventricle contractions) VT (ventricle tachycardia) or any other arrhythmias that may be presen

A Holter is a ambulatory electrocardiogram similar to an EKG. The holter monitor is worn for 24 hours. The monitor will reveal any ectopy like PVCs (pre-ventricle contractions) VT (ventricle tachycardia) or any other arrhythmias that may be present.
The reason we do the holter is because Dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) is a serious, potentially fatal heart condition that affects over 58% of ALL Doberman Pinschers and other breeds!
The Holter is just one step to catch DCM early, the Holter should be followed up by an echocardiogram to rule out or diagnose DCM or other heart issues.
This is the 1st step to catch abnormalities before it's too late!
