Private Training appointments are available for owners who want to work one-on-one with an instructor. They cover many aspects of training from the basics to the advanced to help owners and their dogs have a good working relationship.
In a private lesson, you best learn the techniques to gain control of your dog in every situation and quickly teach your dog the skills to walk politely at your side. You can also discuss with the trainer any special areas of training which are important to you and develop a program designed to suit your needs.
Private lessons focus on basic and intermediate level commands taught at our facility, in the park, or out walking on the sidewalk. Visit our Basic and Intermediate page for topics covered and a class outline. In addition, a personalized program is designed to create a balanced dog inside and outside your home. We can answer any questions you have and address many everyday issues such as barking, greeting guests, jumping, proper nutrition, begging, destructive chewing, etc.
*** Loose Leash Walking, "Walk this way"***
This is a 6-week Program to get your dog walking nicely on a leash without pulling.
Our goal when teaching a dog to walk nicely on a loose leash is NOT that the dog walks in an obedience style heel-position; rather that the dog is able to walk with their guardian, and that both the guardian and their dog work towards the maintenance of a loose leash.
What You will Learn:
Whistle Recall Program - Six Week Program
This program for owners who are interested in getting your dogs set on a GREAT recall, no matter where you are! I’d say “perfect” but realistically a perfect recall every time is not always “perfect”.
Dogs should know their name and have some basic commands (sit, down, leave it, ect.)
No, you don’t have to have a good recall for this class.
This class heavily includes the owner for participation, as this won’t work unless YOU are invested. You have to be willing to work your dog EVERY DAY for a minimum of 15 minutes!
